Are You On the Wrong Train?
It can happen in different areas of life, and no one is immune to it.
Trains, planes, and automobiles are designed to take you from one place to another.
While we ride in one almost daily, we don’t often stop to think about whether we’re on the right or wrong one.
There’s a great quote: “The longer you stay on the wrong train, the further away you get from your destination.”
It can happen in different areas of life, and no one is immune to it.
By the time you realize you might be on the wrong train, you could already be in an unhealthy relationship, in a job you can’t stand, or getting worse at your favorite hobby.
Maybe I’m writing this for myself, because I hate giving up something I start. If I start a job, I want to finish it. If I start a business, I want it to succeed. If I volunteer for a role, I want to be great at it.
Maybe you’re the same. And maybe this is the reminder you need to ask yourself if you’re on the right train.
I don’t have a perfect formula to tell you. But in my experience, when you know, you know. And when you sense something isn’t right, you should be willing to explore it.
It’s not easy to admit you’re on the wrong train. But if you want to arrive at the right destination, you have to be willing to get off and choose another one.
The longer you stay on the wrong train, the further away you get from your destination.
