Be Different Because of Your Actions

Let your example be your leadership.

Be Different Because of Your Actions

Stop expecting others to do what you do.

Your energy is different.
The way you show up is different.
The way you give is different.
The way you love is different.
The way you forgive is different.
The way you forget is different.
The intensity you bring to each day is different.
The consistency of your habits is different.

It’s not normal. You’ve shaped yourself differently, and some people will match you and some won’t. That’s okay.

Years ago, there was a young sales rep named Mark.
While his teammates rushed out the door at 5:01, Mark stayed an extra hour to follow up with clients. While others scrolled their phones in front of their computer, he used the time to learn new skills.

He didn’t do it to show off. He did it because he wanted to be great.

At first, it made him feel out of place. Different and even alone.

But over time, results started showing. Clients trusted him more. Peers asked him for advice. Eventually, his consistency earned him a promotion.

Being different in your actions is the point. Don’t lower yourself to a bar that’s beneath you.

So let your example be your leadership. Let your actions guide your day.

You can’t make others do what you do. But you can keep showing up in a way that makes them want to.

You can’t make them do what you do, but you can make them want to.
