Don't Fill Your Mind With This

What bad things might happen

Your mind will try to trick you in order for you to stay safe. It will do its best to create an alternative world where only adverse outcomes will occur. But it’s your responsibility to reject this thinking.

Marcus Aurelius said, “Don’t fill your mind with all the bad things that might happen. Stay focused on the present situation and ask yourself why it’s so unbearable and can’t be survived.”

Worrying about what could go wrong isn’t helping you; it’s hurting you. It’s possible bad things happen, but worrying about the negative paralyzes you, it makes you pause.

Today, fill your mind with possibility, then act accordingly.

Don’t fill your mind with all the bad things that might happen.

Marcus Aurelius
