Unattached to the Result
Committed to the process
You didn’t get the result you wanted this week. You didn’t hit your sales number, set the meetings, or miss a deadline. I wouldn’t expect you to like or even feel good about it.
However, your job isn’t to focus on the result, it’s to fall in love with the process of becoming. There is this fantastic quote, “Be committed to the process of what you’re doing without being emotionally attached to the result.”
It is easy to read or say, yet challenging to live out. Stay committed to the process and do your very best to remove the attachment of the result. Doing this makes you more likely to get the results you want anyway.
Be committed to the process of what you’re doing without being emotionally attached to the result.
