Grow Gratitude

The future provides hope, but there is so much to be grateful for right now.

During a coaching conversation yesterday, a leader said to me, “I might not be focused or motivated today; we are going to Disney with my family next week.” Even though the trip sounds fantastic, it robbed her of being happy, focused, and grateful for being where she was in the current moment.

There is this great quote: “The foolish man seeks happiness in the distance. The wise grows it under their feet.”

Instead of focusing on what’s ahead or behind, be grateful for what you are doing, who you are with, and where you are today.
