It's Cool to Care

If you want a rewarding life, you have to care. If you want to enjoy going to work, you have to care. If you want to accomplish anything meaningful, you have to care.

Not a surface-level care. Not the kind you fake to appease people while you don't actually give a damn. Real uncommon care.

If you need permission, here it is. It's cool to care.

Even if the people around you make fun of you for how much you care. Even if they never recognize your effort. Caring is always cool.

The world is full of people who don't care about anything. They go through life on autopilot, with no intentionality and no excitement.

You've got two ways to move through today.

You can coast. Show up, do the minimum, protect yourself from looking like you're trying too hard.
You can care intensely. Bring an uncommon level of attention and effort to what's in front of you, even if nobody notices.

I don't know what you're doing today. But whatever it is, do it with a care that's uncommon. Not for the applause or for the potential reward. Just because it's incredibly cool to care intensely about something in life.
