It's Difficult When It's Unfamiliar

It’s only difficult when it’s unfamiliar.

The more you do something, the stronger you get and the easier it becomes. What used to be difficult is just what you can now do.

Ralph Waldo Emerson had this quote: “That which we persist in doing becomes easier to do, not that the nature of the thing has changed, but our power to do has increased.”

Hard things rarely change, but you can. At first, twenty pushups might be excruciating, but if you do twenty twice a day, it gets easier.

The more days you show up doing things that initially looked like an impossible mountain to climb, you will eventually be staring at the bottom of the second mountain looking up again.

That which we persist in doing becomes easier to do, not that the nature of the thing has changed, but our power to do has increased.
