Tomorrow I tee off as one of 256 competitors in the USGA Mid-Amateur Championship in Wisconsin.

Qualifying wasn't easy. 6,124 entries competed across 69 qualifying sites for a spot in this field.

Excited is an understatement. But excitement doesn't guarantee a result. It doesn't matter how fired up you are about an opportunity; performance still has to show up on its own terms.

Will I finish the week holding the trophy and booking a flight to Augusta National? I have no idea. But I know this: if that's what I focus on, it won't happen.

Here's what I'm leaning into instead. Trusting my training. Believing I'm good enough and worthy enough of a great outcome. Then go let it rip.

I know that sounds corny. But build an opportunity up too big, and you play smaller. Make something bigger than it actually is, and you perform worse.

I don't know what's in front of you this week, at work or at home. But I do know this: trust your training, lean into your self-belief, and go let it rip.
