Other people want what you want.

It’s true that comparison is the thief of joy, but competition is real.

Other people want the sale. Other people want a significant other. Other people want the best-selling book. Other people want the job.

Other people want what you want. Which begs the ultimate question: what do you do when 1,000 other people want exactly what you want?

Talent that resembles the rest will not get the job done. The only answer is a commitment to work that goes well beyond what the ordinary person is unwilling to do.

Today is your day to work harder and more focused than you have ever worked. And remember what we discussed yesterday: when you get tired, don’t quit, take a break.
