Outlast Everyone Else
There is power in progress.
Most people underestimate what it really takes to win consistently.
They look for quick hacks, one-time efforts, or short bursts of energy. But success doesn’t bend to the occasional push.
Years ago, I had Patrick Bet-David on the podcast and immediately knew he was different. It was clear he understood what it took to win consistently. He said, “If you can outwork, outimprove, outstrategize, and outlast, it’s going to be very hard to compete against you.”
What powerful and inspirational insight. But here is the catch:
Outworking someone doesn’t come from a single late night.
Outimproving doesn’t occur because you want it to.
Outstrategizing doesn’t happen after watching game film once.
Outlasting doesn’t happen in a few days.
Each of them requires consistent and relentless effort. Doing things you don’t want to do in the present, but your future self would thank you for, which is why most people are either unwilling or unable to commit to them.
Mr. Beast, the famous Youtuber backed this up when he said, “There’s a reason no one makes content like me. It’s not because people don’t want to. It’s that most people aren’t willing to do what I do to make them.”
I have begun to see this play out in my own career. 15+ years of studying and writing about leadership and high performance have shown signs of compounding. Speaking opportunities that wouldn’t have existed, coaching opportunities that wouldn’t have been realized, and meaningful relationships with people I never would have developed.
The advantage is obvious. If you refuse to quit, if you show up relentlessly, you will eventually be the one others can’t keep up with.
So stop chasing shortcuts. Be the one who outworks, outimproves, outstrategizes, and outlasts.
Outwork. Outimprove. Outstrategize. Outlast.
