Take Risks
Now isn't the time to settle
Nothing in life is worthwhile unless you take risks.
Taking a risk means choosing to act in the face of uncertainty. It’s deciding to move forward when the outcome isn’t guaranteed and failure is possible, maybe even likely.
That’s why most people don’t take risks. They fixate on the downside instead of believing in the upside.
Nelson Mandela once said, “There is no passion to be found playing small—in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living.”
Now isn’t the time to settle. It’s time to risk. Think about it:
Your future spouse is on the other side of saying hello.
Your next business partner is on the other side of attending that industry event.
Your ideal job is on the other side of sending that bold email.
Your million-dollar idea is on the other side of building the MVP.
Your best relationship with your child is on the other side of a weekend away, one-on-one.
Your thriving marriage is on the other side of saying yes to the retreat.
Now is the time to leave your comfort zone. To do something before you feel ready. To trust your gut when logic hesitates. To say yes when fear says no.
Because taking a risk is about believing that what could be is more important than what is.
Yes, you might fail. She might turn you down. The business might flop. The resume might go unread.
But remember: Nothing in life is worthwhile unless you take risks.
There is no passion to be found, playing small, and settling for a life that’s less than the one you are capable of living.
