Your Habits Matter
One small action today can shape your habits
Your habits matter.
A habit is something you do so often that it becomes part of who you are. But every habit starts as a single act, a thread that, when repeated, turns into a cable.
Fulton Sheen once said,
"Sow an act and you reap a habit. Sow a habit and you reap a character. Sow a character and you reap a destiny."
Think about that: Your actions become habits. Your habits become your character. Your character shapes your destiny.
It’s a deep idea for a Monday, but it’s a powerful reminder: How you do anything is how you do everything.
So instead of trying to overhaul your habits all at once, just focus on one positive action today and repeat it tomorrow. Stack enough of those days, and the habit will form on its own.
So what is it going to be?
A walk outside?
A weightlifting session at the gym?
A coffee with your significant other?
A prospecting session?
A journal entry?
You choose the action, and the habit will follow.
Sow an act and you reap a habit. Sow a habit and you reap a character. So a character and you reap a destiny.
