Your Most Productive Form of Revenge
No one wants to experience bad outcomes in life. But they happen because life is hard and nothing is guaranteed.
And when those hard moments hit, it’s tempting to look outward.
To blame the circumstance.
To resent the people involved.
To want revenge.
But Ed Mylett offers a better way. He said, “If you want revenge for the bad things that have happened in your life, start with the version of you that hasn’t lived up to your potential.”
That’s a mindset shift. Instead of wasting your energy trying to get even, you aim it inward. You fuel the fire. You go to work.
Because the version of you that was resentful, blameful, and played small?
It doesn’t need sympathy. It needs to be replaced.
Here’s the hard truth:
You are not the victim of your past, you are the architect of your future.
But only if you choose discipline. Only if you choose courage. Only if you act in alignment with the version of yourself you know you can be.
Don’t try to get revenge on others. Start with the version of you that hasn’t met your potential. Make your old self proud, and your future self unstoppable.
If you want revenge for the bad things that have happened in your life, start with the version of you that hasn’t lived up to your potential.
