To crown a champion in the NBA, MLB, and NHL, it takes a 7 game series. The first team to win 4 games raises the trophy.
This week is your 7-game series.
You only have to win 4 out of 7 days to win the week. You don't have to be perfect. You don't have to go 7-for-7. You just have to win more than you lose.
Here's the wild part. Break a year down into 52 weeks and just focus on winning 4 days a week. Winning behavior suddenly looks a lot more attainable. Instead of chasing a perfect 365, you just need 208 good days in a year.
You could keep expecting perfection out of yourself and coming up short every time. You could stay stuck in park because the idea of winning every single day feels impossible.
I don’t know exactly what a winning day looks like for you. But I know a losing day includes no forward action. I know it includes only doing things where you are comfortable.
This week is your World Series. Just focus on winning 4 out of 7 days, and watch what happens.
You don't need a perfect week, you just need to win more than you lose.
